Stepping it up in Drachten

The horses made a big step up in Drachten this weekend, with both Amarit D'Amour and Elien impressing in the 1.50m Longines Ranking classes.

Amarit jumped a double clear round in Friday's 1.50m class, to place 8th. This was his second performance at this level, as well as his second clear. Elien made her 1.50m debut on Thursday, and did a beautiful round with an unlucky rail down. On Friday, Elien was clear in the 1.45m class and placed 6th. Kathi chose not to jump the Grand Prix, as it would have been too much to ask of Amarit at this stage of his development.

Briljant also delivered at her first show with Kathi, and was 6th in her opening class before she finished 2nd in Saturday's 1.40m.

The 7-year-old Chaning Tatum was also clear in two of his three classes during the weekend, at his first show with Kathi.
