Umeunig continues great form in Lanaken

Two weekends of competition at the Z-Tour came to an end last Sunday, with Umeunig jumping outstanding in the CSI3* 1.50 Grand Prix. Umeunig was clear all the way, but a small miscalculation brought the two 0.15 seconds outside the time allowed and with one-time penalty recorded. In the end, Umeunig and Kathi were placed 8th.

Con Air Z really made a big step up during the first CSI3* weekend, and jumped two 1.50 classes. Although she had two light rails in each class, Kathi had a fantastic feeling – and considering that Con Air is only 8-years-old it looks promising.

The 7-year-old Sandro Boy-daughter Sanity Z did two more clear rounds during the last weekend, and picked up her first two ribbons. Benfica van Vlieringen is also starting to come back after her long break, and jumped two out of her three rounds clear.

Kathi’s stable jockey Louis Wood also had good clear rounds in the 1.20/1.25 classes on Balou Z, Con Air Z’s half-sister. Kathi’s students Carmen Christiaansen and Silvia Foppiani also did some very good clean rounds, with Carmen going clear in her concluding 1.40 class aboard Jennifer.

Kathi's next shows will be the CSI4* event in Hagen where Umeunig will jump the main classes, while Sky Fly SB and Con Air Z will share the duties at the CSI5* Longines Global Champions Tour in Shanghai the following weekend.
